As Canada's premier co-op MBA school, DeGroote's experiential learning philosophy provides MBA students with a competitive advantage through hands-on experience via co-op work terms and significant work assignments. In addition to the 28-month cooperative education program, the DeGroote MBA can also be pursued on a part-time basis by individuals wishing to maintain their careers as they study. For those with at least one year of management and/or professional work experience, there is a two-year full-time program or an 8-month accelerated MBA program for commerce and business graduates.

The Gould Trading Floor offers a hands-on experience for MBA students who wish to become traders, investment advisors or risk managers. It is comprised of 21 computer terminals; plus 3 Trans-Lux display boards delivering real-time data from all Canadian exchanges, the Chicago Board of Trade and the New York Stock Exchange. The room is also served by Reuters' latest Kobra information technology and features two Bloomberg terminals. A classroom featuring 55 computers provides students with opportunities for hands-on learning. Research areas and special testing facilities complement the classroom.
